In the financial act brought by the Kathmandu Metropolitan City for the fiscal year 076/77, various taxes have been fixed on houses, land, and renovation within the metropolis.

In the Economic Act, the value of land has been fixed for the assessment of property tax on major roads and lands on the right and left side of the road within the Kathmandu Metropolitan Region.
Similarly, property tax for joint and collective (housing / apartment) housing has also been determined through the Economic Act. The evaluation rate of the building is also based on the structure of the building. The registration fee for passing the registration of houses, land or other properties within the Kathmandu Metropolitan Region has been collected as prescribed by the state government.
It has been stated that if any person or organization restores a building, house, shop, garage, warehouse, tent, land or pond or other property within the Kathmandu Metropolitan Area in full or in part, the restoration tax will be levied on the restored amount as mentioned in the Financial Act.
